The Catholic Foundation of Manitoba was established in 1964 to support Catholic causes and values in Manitoba. Thanks to generous donors, today the Foundation manages growing capital funds that exceed $3.25 million. Donations are permanently invested with only the investment income being distributed through grants; the capital asset base is never touched. Since its inception the Foundation has distributed over $1.5 million in grants.

The Catholic Foundation provides opportunities for donors like you to support organizations and causes which strengthen the Catholic and broader community in Manitoba.

Your gift to the Foundation will support education, service, and charitable works in the Catholic tradition across the province. It will also be your legacy, helping Catholic values flourish in Manitoba.

The Catholic Foundation of Manitoba expresses a deep sorrow over both the discovered and yet to be discovered unmarked graves of residential school children.

The Catholic Foundation of Manitoba acknowledges the role of the Catholic Church in residential schools. Our hope is that these discoveries ignite in each one of us the need for reflection, as well as the desire to listen and learn from the stories and experiences of those who have undergone trauma arising from residential schools.

It is important that we learn from these past events by acknowledging their present impact, and by seeking meaningful action towards reconciliation. As a foundation, we commit to ongoing learning through renewal of our mission, inclusion of diverse perspectives, the presence of equity, and by reaching out to the Indigenous communities for guidance. We also commit to pursuing initiatives to address the needs of our members located in northern and remote regions of Manitoba.
